Federal Hiring Freeze Likely to Worsen SSDI Backlogs

President Trump's newly announced hiring freeze ",,,, applies to all executive departments and agencies regardless of the sources of their operational and programmatic funding …" including the self-funded Social Security system. It may limit and/or delay a number of services and benefits for people with disabilities and worsen Social Security disability claims backlogs that are already experiencing severe levels of delay, as recently reported by Bloomberg: "Trump’s Hiring Freeze May Worsen 526-Day Disability Case Backlog".

What? this sounds horrible. Disabled people need these services and benefits. This is utterly saddening. He should at least consider the lives of the disabled.
