As for the review of the the hate crime provision bill. I am glad to see that there has been so much money allocated to the defense Department Budget. I do believe that there needs to be advocating for the people with disabilities, Gays, and gender identity disorder. As, for the voting on the bill consisted of 131 republicans and 15 democrats.
In my opinion I feel that it is preferrable to provide that suppot towards a bill reflecting a transit progrma that we may put into place. and that it be more productive and beneficial. this would allow us to be able to transport the PWDS, Gays< and gender Identity people to there employment sites. Or even medical appointments.

Lynnae M. Ruttledge has the credentials and the experience (ex-officio member of both the State Rehabilitation Council and the State Independent Living Council, represents the Department of Social and Health Services on the state Workforce Investment Board) to be a great RSA Commissioner since she has worked with both public and private non-profit organizations. She is not only professionally familiar with Vocational Services but also personally familiar since she was born with a disability and received services form the Michigan Vocational Rehabilitation program. As she served as the director of the Washington Division of Vocational Rehabilitation the division was recognized by the Governor with an award for outstanding management. It will be interesting to see the new ideas and programs that she will lead, develop and perhaps improve. The fact that she has been a longtime volunteer and disability rights expert is always a plus. I anticipate Ruttledge will make a tremendous positive impact in the world of rehabilitation services. Lynnae Ruttledge being appointed as the new RSA Commissioner is a great step for the field of Rehabilitative services! Finally President Obama has made at least one good decision in regards to the benefit of the United States. Ms. Ruttledge has a great deal of experience in various fields and many states such as being the Executive Director of the Washington Vocational Rehab program which has obviously given her the experience and tools she needs to perform her job duties to the fullest. My hopes for the Rehabilitative services with her as RSA Commissioner are that she would provide more programs of opportunities for all people with disabilities. Let’s hope that Ms.Ruttledge fulfills her role by leaving a great impression within the RSA, on our country and of course people with disabilities!

It is important to state that any individual appointed as the RSA Commissioner would perform to the best of interest, having in mind the needs of people with disabilities and anyone else who benefits from rehab services. There is no doubt that Lynnae Ruttledge would work toward the advancement of the field and benefit those who require such services.
Her experience speaks out for itself. She has been exposed to both the public and non-profit sectors, providing her with the best experience and tools the RSA Commissioner needs. Along with her public and non-profit experience, Lynnae Ruttledge has also the knowledge to advocate and work for the welfare of people with dasbilities. The decision made by the President to place Lynnae Ruttledge as the the new RSA Commissioner, in my opinion was a wise and good decision since she holds the appropriate knowledge and experience.

Congratulations to Lynnae Rutledge for being appointed the new RSA Commissioner! She seems like a woman who is very passionate about her work and seems like she has a lot to offer and can bring a lot to the table for vocational rehabilitation, independent living, and to other services for individuals with disabilities. As an individual who was born with a disability she has a deep understanding of the needs of persons with disabilities and therefore I believe she is a strong asset to the Rehabilitation Services Administration. With all of her experience with Mobility International USA and her involvement at the NOW-AAPD forum, Lynnae has a long road of issues to be addressed, ideas and other considerations to be brought to people’s attention about persons with disabilities. It is great to see and hear of people like her making such a difference in advocacy for persons with disabilities and encouraging others to become involved and to be supporters of her cause.

This is the second thing that I am aware about that President Barack Obama has to do with making an important good decision having to with disability or rehabilitation aspects. Lynnae M. Ruttledge has vast experience in the Vocational Rehabilitation area including excellent leadership skills. I believe that President Obama did great as to appointing Lynnae M. Ruttledge as the new RSA Commissioner since she has worked both in the public and non-profit sectors in different states. Not only that but has also has ground roots experience with disability since she has also been a long time volunteer and disability rights expert and has been affiliated with Mobility International USA. In addition, Lynnae M. Ruttledge has also vast experience in the multi-cultural area since she has also traveled to different parts of the world which is important since this is a multi-cultural country.

I am pleased to see that President Barack Obama has appointed Lynnae Ruttledge as the new RSA Commissioner. He is demonstrating his "Awareness that PWD need to be able to contribute to our nation" and she seems like the perfect individual for this job, disabled or not. Lynnae Ruttledge has more than enough credentials for this position. Not only is she familiar with vocational services because of her previous work experience but familiar on the personal level since she was born with a disability and actually received services form the Michigan Vocational Rehabilitation program. Ruttledge previously "served as the Executive Director of the Washington Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Ms. Ruttledge has also worked in the public and non-profit sectors in Michigan, Oregon and Washington, working in critical areas including policy development, program management, independent living, workforce development, and business leadership networks". With all those credintials why wouldn't President Obama hire this very qualifed individual. She should also be an example to other with and without disabilities, that success is possible for all those who have the desire to and not let barriers get in their way.

AWESOME!! After all the posts I have commented on about President Barack Obama and his job as President of the United States, I regret not having voted for him. However, thank God he became President anyways. He is really working with and for the people of the United States who have disabilities. Hopefully, his work will continue this way through out his presidency. Furthermore, I am pretty sure that Lynnae Ruttledge will do an excellent job as the new RSA Commissioner. She will do an excellent job not only because the President has appointed her, but also because she previously served as the Executive Director of the Washington Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Lynnae Ruttledge has a lot of experience in the Rehabilitation Services and this will most definitely help her do an excellent job.

It seems that President Obama has surrounded himself with teams of good people. I do not doubt that Ms. L. Ruttledge is already doing a great job as our new RSA commissioner. I saw in the web page below that she has traveled extensively, and I want to think that at least part of the purpose of the trip was to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities in those countries, or to bring ideas to implement.
She has an impressive amount of experience across different aspects of rehabilitation. That is amazing!!

I missed to say that The RSA has awarded our department a major grant this year. Thanks to the hard work of the professors in the Rehab department at UTPA, the funds through this grant became a reality. As a consequence, some of us were able to get scholarships to help us accomplish our degrees in the rehabilitation field. So, I should say a big Thanks!! to Ms. Lynnae Ruttledge for being behind the scene on this and many other good thigs.

Well it sounds as if LYnnae is a qualified in dividual to continue the growth that has occurred in the las 15 years for the RSA. So many oportunties to help individuals are provided through the RSA and other programs as well. I hope that this appointment is someone who is qualified and passionate about the purpose of the RSA. It would be a great disappointment if this appoinment does not continue the movement or current that we have today. I wish LYnnae all the fortune and give all the support.
