I think it's great that the DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is doing this. Many employers or even people with disabilities might not have an idea of what is available to them. It is very important for people with disabilities to receive the aid that they need as quick and easy as possible. Also, the fact that all the pieces of legislation are in one book makes it that much easier for people to find exactly what they need.

This is so awesome that the DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is taking the time to do this. I think everyone whether they have a disability or not would want or need to know more about the Acts that protect those with disabilities. With so many of our amendments being long and difficult to read, I think this works. There are so many policies that need to be readily available for those with disabilities and this is easy and fast and even better there is no cost to those who want it.

In my opinion, the publication of The Disability Law Handbook is something that will be very beneficial for a lot of people. The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is giving people with disabilities a handbook in which they can refer to, about all the information they need. Nevertheless, people without a disability can benefit from this handbook too. In my case, since I am a student in the Rehabilitation Services, this handbook will be very useful for me. Overall, I believe that the 50 page guide to the basics of Americans with Disabilities Act and other disability related laws is a way of giving credit to people with disabilities.

The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is providing great services for people that are interested in the disabilites acts/laws. This is a great way for people to be infomed about the laws/acts of disablities. This is also important for the people with disabilities, it carries great information on their rights, that they're probably not aware of.

It is very unfortunate that despise the efforts of the advocacy institution for PWD, there still are not many jobs in the public sector for PWD. However, there are some factors that have to be considered, not just like a bias for PWD, but also how the economic crisis is affecting, the increase in the elder population. The government and private sector will have to do an extra effort to include PWD.

I believe that it’s a great idea that DBTAC Southwest ADA center is providing this 50 page handbook without any cost. This will help many whom have a disability or acquired a disability know their rights. Also know what law or Acts protect people with disability. This handbook is not just for people with disabilities it’s for everyone.

This is really great news for Americans everywhere. It gives everyone the opportunity to know what the ADA is, who falls under it, what are the rights, priveleges and responisbilities of people with disabilities. Other individuals who are employers or work at a public service location can easily know what to do or changes to make to better accomodate people with disabilities and themselves. Leivy S. Resendiz

The DBTAC Southwest ADA Center is doing a great thing by publishing this handbook because a lot of people including people with disabilities do not know that they have rights to many things and this handbook will surely be of great help for all of us. I also like the idea of all the information being in one book rather than having five different books and people having a hard time finding all the information they need in all the different books.

This is great to know, because now people with disabilities can utilize this handbook. They will acquire the knowledge and opportunities that are available to them. This is also great for people without disabilities so that can know what is offered to people with disabilities. I cannot wait to go over this new handbook with some of my family members that would find this beneficial to them.

I think that having The Disability Law Handbook was a good thing to have. There is so much information that is needed to know that having the information one book would be like a phone book or a dictionary when you need some type of information it is all in one book. Especially, if the information they are looking for in of value for them.

I think that it's a great idea. The Disability Law Handbook seems like a great idea and we'll be very helpful to both employers and people with disabilities. Everything they need to know would now be in one book, which will make it much easier to find the information they are looking for and that would be of help to someone.

This center is doing an awesome thing by publishing this handbook. This book will help people with disabilities be aware of opportunities that are available for them and rights they have to things around them. People without disabilities can benefit from it as well because they can gain knowledge and be able to help and inform others who need it.

I am sure that people with disabilities do not know of such things that are available to them, as well as to people who do not have one can gain much more knowledge and information about it. DBTAC ADA Center is doing such a great thing in doing this, no doubt about that. There are other rights and amendments that we do not really understand, like Victoria mentions, that this handbook is great.

Awesome! I think that its great that they are taking the time to put this book together. i think this will be good for small business owners to have on hand so that they know what they need to do with their businesses. I think it is also good that other people with disabilities know what their rights are also.

this is great because not many people with or withour know all or any of the acts or amendments daling with disabilities. this is a great way to inform them of how they are protected under law and not be discriminated against.

In my opinion this is a great idea because PWD can have all the information at their fingertips. They can see what’s available for them and who and what can protect them. Overall this is perfect for PWD and everyone else.

I like this idea, of emailing the handbook and its free. It might become a great idea for it to get more people educated and especially ones who have disabilities more information realated to their needs and rights in the U.S.

Aren't handbooks supposed to be free? I mean, I think it's common sense that you'd want this information to get out and if you just put it on an already running website, people can download the Handbook. Our handbooks here at the University are free and accessible, so a Disability Law Handbook should be no different. If you want people to know and understand the laws regarding people with disabilities, you've got to provide the information.

Wow! This handbook would of been great for me this semester for Disability Policy. This book could also benefit PWD in being inform about their rights, and helpful for rehabers to promote advocacy.

I want a copy of this handbook. I am just as confused at times about the laws as any other person can be. It is difficult to understand and a handy book with all the information is incredible to have as a reference. It can also be seen as an awesome reminder to some people about the guidelines out there.

I agree that it is great that this handbook is being made so easily available, and at no cost. People-with disabilities and without- need to be aware of rights and services available. Knowledge is power and this is definitely an empowering tool. This is another sign of progress in this field. Making this available is validating people with disabilities and recognizing their importance.
