I actually watched President Obama give a speech about the ADA. It was very interesting and reassuring that our President is being so involved. All of the new legislations coming in are also very good. The Community Choice Act seems like a great idea. People should be able to live comfortably at home, even if that means that their home needs some sort of modification. Early Childhood Development is also very important and I am glad to hear that there will be a hearing in regards to this.

It is interesting to see president Obama get his hands on this agenda item, since we have berely seen any real good change to the health care system in a very long time. The community choice act sounds like a great idea since people w/d as well as older people would get to enjoy health care and support at home rather than having to move out of their houses into institutions, where people sometimes might feel lonely and out of place and more like they were sent there because they were some kind of burden for their families. I also like that they are exploring on early childhood development. It is a fact that the earlier you start educating and expanding the mind of a little kid the best he/she will perform throught out his/her life. there should not be any barrier for parents and childrens to begin doing this. I think is very important for the future of the country start changing the education system or at least work a little bit on it so it works for every american no matter their economic status or race.

I think that president Obama view on health care plans is great. Its about time that someone has started to meet about these important issues that affect all of us even though I think this task will be difficult and has been an issue that some of our past presidents have avoided. But with insurance so high during this recession it makes hard for American people to avoid such important issues. Since I do believe that making health care affordable is very important to the American people. And being able to select care options and being able to decide what type of care you want is what I believe many of us want. I also believe it’s a great Idea to some of their programs just to make sure their functioning the way they are supposing to. I also believe the child development is a great idea since children during this age absorb what they learn which I think it helps develop the child for the future.

I think what our new president is doing with our health care system is an awsome thing. He cares about people with disabilities a lot and I wouldn't be surprised that when he comes up for re-election many PWD will come out and support him. He has done so many things for PWD in just the few months he has been in office.

I think it great that our government is getting right into it with health care. And the elderly and people with disabilities have a choice for different support and care options. Only they themselves know exactly what it is they need, and if they are getting it for whatever reason they should have the chance to choose how to receive. Sometimes family members can't always be there for there loved ones. As for the early childhood development, this is great as well. I believe the earlier we start the more prepared today's children will be once school starts. We will have a higher success rate of high school graduates and college attendees. Health care affordability is important to us, some people can't afford it and some people need it more than others, if people aren't taking advantage it give it those who really need and want it.

I'm surprised and glad all at the same time to know that President Obama is so involved with the concerns people with disabilities have. The Community Choice Act is a great idea because people wether they have disabilities or not should be able to live comfortably in their homes even if it means making a few adjustments to the home. I think that modifying people's homes to accomodate their needs is so much better than sending the person to live in a nursing home because they do not have the proper tools they need to live independently.
